Floods, strikes, mining bans and project halts hit every loan in a district at once. A checklist for the first week.
Day 1
Confirm the event from two sources. The news feed links each item to the loans it touches.
Pull the exposure: loans, ₹ outstanding and flagged cases in the affected districts and segments.
Tell the regional head and the Head of Collections. If new lending should pause, ask for a leadership decision the same day.
Days 2 to 5
Call every borrower in the affected segment, starting with the highest exposure. Ask whether they are safe, whether the vehicle is safe, and whether they can work.
For floods: check insurance on every vehicle in the district and chase renewals. A vehicle damaged without cover is a total loss.
For strikes or bandhs of a few days: no action beyond a reminder; most borrowers catch up within the month.
By the end of week 1
A one-page note: the event, the exposure, how many borrowers are working, and a proposal (rescheduling under KB-005, a pause on lending, or no action).
