Score drops, new loans elsewhere and delinquency at other lenders. What each means, and how much weight to give it.
| Signal | Rule | Points | What it usually means |
|---|---|---|---|
| B1 | Score down 50 points or more in 90 days | 12 | The borrower is missing payments somewhere, or has taken on a lot of new debt |
| B2 | Two or more new loans in 90 days | 8 | Bridging a cash gap, often with costly short-term credit |
| B3 | 30+ DPD on any other loan | 15 | Strain that will reach our loan next; we are often paid last |
Do not quote the bureau to the borrower. Ask about their other commitments and when their income is due.
